Machine description The Ventura in an automatic, in-line filling machine, designed and manufactured to the highest technical standard, and it has been developed to meet the strictest demands for flexibility and efficiency. The machine is fully prepared to meet the highest standards of sanitation required by the food industry. Furthermore, to meet the demands of security, the machine is supplied with safety guards according to the EU regulations and customer requirements. Operation principle The cups, cones or containers are dispensed from the magazine into the lamellas. The motion of the lamellas is step-driven. The chain indexing step is 100, 150, 200 or 250mm. Filling takes place with either a time-elapse filler, or and extrusion bottom-filler, depending on the viscosity of the ice cream, the packaging volume and the ingredients. Decoration with a number of viscous or solid ingredients is possible. A large variety of lid types and lidding techniques can be applied, according to the design of the packaging. Pre-cut foil dispenser, heat-sealing, lid dispenser, lid tamper or sealing with foil from roll is possible. After lidding, the products are pushed or lifted out of the lamellas, and transferred to the hardening tunnel by a roller or belt conveyor. |
Main drive The main drive is a mechanical variated gearbox which is connected to the main shaft. The main shaft drives a cam drum, which indexes the table. The same shaft drives a row of cam disks and drums, which drive the filling column and the lift/takedown column. Control system The Ventura is controlled by a Siemens S7 or Allen-Bradley PLC control. All products are pre-programmed in the PLC. The control panel is placed at the cup/cone dispenser magazine. It is possible to see and adjust the speed from the control panel. Any of the working stations can be manually controlled, and disconnected from the cycles, if needed. Compressed air and vacuum system All components are of the highest standard, and all valves are electrically activated. All air cylinders are made of stainless steel. |
