  • WCB Ice Cream’s ingredient feeder, model IF, is designed to assure excellent control over a wide range of ingredients, with reliability and ease of operation:

    -Controls are available in a manual version and a rage indication version that feature display of feed rate in pounds per minute (or kg per minute), and low hopped level indication The IF models are also designed to reduce maintenance and enhance cleanability. This includes use of stainless steel in the open frame construction, free draining surfaces, and easy accessibility to wash down areas.

    -operation: Model IF ingredient feeders are equipped with integrally vertically mounted variable speed blenders. The design ensures uniform final ingredient distribution.

    -The hopper agitator is designed to prevent damage to the ingredients while providing proper agitation continuously to feed the auger.

    Operating principle:

    IF ingredient feeders provide controlled insertion of a wide range of particulate ingredients into a continuous flow of viscous base products such as ice cream, frozen desserts, cake mixes or pancakes batters, and peanut butter. Ingredients are augered from the main hopper to a rotor and scraper mechanism that gently incorporates the ingredients into the continuous flow of base product-
    The combined ingredients and base product are blended together and evenly distributed by the variable speed blender agitator unit.

    IF-410S and IF-820S include the following features:

    - All stainless steel open frame construction
    - All electric variable frequency drives
    - Large 20-gallon (80-liter) ingredient hopper with a
    friendly load height of 46” (1,168mm).
    - Digital readouts for auger, enrobing chamber rotor
    and blender agitator.
    - Operator friendly control panel located at the front of the unit.
    - Narrow width and overall small foot print to allow
    location of this unit in tight processing areas.
    - Hopper safety grid.

    Rate indication versions have the following additional features:

    - Load cell measurement of hopper weight and feed rate display in pounds per minute (or kg per minute)
    - Flashing light to indicate low-level hopper condition
